Senior Finance Manager

1-2 days / week in Oakland or Salt Lake City, UT OR Remote, but must be able to work west-coast hours
Job Summary:
The Senior Finance Manager will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, providing strategic support to senior leadership. This position requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic financial plans.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, including investment analysis, pricing strategies, and cost optimization.
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance and support, helping them understand financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, identifying potential risks and opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, [Specific Software]).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
