Job Title:  Controller

Location:  San Mateo, California (Hybrid - 3 days a week in office)

Job Summary:
This role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, managing accounting functions, and providing critical financial insights to support continued growth. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned finance leader with a strong background in high-growth environments and a deep understanding of US GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to management.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, and oversee the annual audit process.
• Provide financial leadership and support for strategic initiatives, including potential IPO or funding milestones.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in high-growth environments (preferably SaaS, healthcare, or technology).
• Proven success in managing complex accounting functions and compliance requirements.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, ASC 606, and revenue recognition.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• $180,000 - $225,000 annually
