The Business Systems Analyst position is a project-oriented role and will work with all areas of the business including payroll, accounting, human resources, safety, procurement, and our DOT department. An overall understanding of business processes including payroll processing, general accounting, and inventory management is essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have strongly developed analytical skills and the ability to work closely and collaborate with various teams to help bring IT projects to fruition. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with our Microsoft Dynamics NAV partner to assist in implementing system upgrades, modifications, and fixes
- Collaborate with other third-party software vendors on NAV integrations to other software platforms
- Perform data analysis using tools like SQL and/or Power BI
- Develop test scripts and assist in testing system modifications
- Present recommendations for system improvements or solutions to management
- Perform end-user training
- Document, and keep current, Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
- Identify when a project may be at risk, and provide immediate feedback to the Project Manager
- Play a key role in an ERP upgrade
- Cultivate a deep understanding of all business system functionalities
- Bachelor's degree in computer applications and systems or other relevant area of study
- Five years of experience working in an IT-related role such as programmer/analyst or business systems analyst with strong technical skills
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, with specific experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central preferred
- Knowledge and experience working with relational databases
- Some experience with programming and software development
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with ERP upgrades
- Ability to understand the implications that system modifications have to other areas
- Proficient in utilizing SQL (Structured Query Language) for performing data analysis
- Strongly developed organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and adjust to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficient in using Excel
- Knowledge of HeavyConnect software
- Knowledge of Cetaris software or other fleet management software
- Experience in developing web technologies and software platforms
- Agriculture industry experience (particularly in harvesting/farm labor contracting)
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience using SharePoint
- Ability to travel occasionally to Yuma, AZ between November and March annually
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Light to moderate lifting
- Reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing and manual dexterity
- Operating a computer, calculator, copier and keyboard involving repetitive hand arm movement
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the company’s facilities
